Bebop Spoken There

Clare Teal: "If you're brought up in a working-class family, you haven't got money for records so everything you get hold of, you treasure, learn to love, and I loved those Ella tapes." - (Radio Times 23-29 January 2021)

The Things They Say!

Hudson Music: Lance's "Bebop Spoken Here" is one of the heaviest and most influential jazz blogs in the UK.

Rupert Burley (Dynamic Agency): "BSH just goes from strength to strength".

Preview: The Art of Drumming (part 1, Friday 8)

Tomorrow night (Friday) the first in a four part series - The Art of Drumming - is being shown on Sky Arts (Freeview) at nine o'clock. The 2018 series features a vast array of drumming talent from right across spectrum. Jazz names contributing their thoughts include Ginger Baker, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd (pictured) and Dave Weckl.

One time drummer in Paul Weller's band, Steve White, is series' consultant. In the 1980s White teamed up with none other than Alan Barnes to make three or four records together. The Art of Drumming looks like being one for drum heads and anyone who's ever toyed with the idea of banging together a few pots and pans.    Russell
