This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Reviewers wanted

Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Live stream tonight (in NYC) or tomorrow (UK) - Nick Hempton Band w. Peter Bernstein

For those with an ear for the sound of a tenor sax/B3/guitar/drums quartet then head over to GB's Juke Joint on Long Island at 7:00pm ET or midnight GMT tonight (December 28) where the Nick Hempton Band with Peter Bernstein will be live streaming.
If you're not a night owl then don't worry, you can sleep peacefully safe in the knowledge that the on-demand one-hour show will be there for you when you emerge from your drunken stupor (well it is that time of year!). In fact this one should even be worth staying sober for!

There's a cracking line-up with Nick Hempton on tenor, Peter Bernstein on guitar, Kyle Koehler on Hammond B3 and Fukushi Tainaka on drums.
