Bebop Spoken There

Paul Edis: "One of the regulars at The Gala today called me a 'turncoat' and another a 'deserter' - that's a very northern way of displaying affection in response to the news that I'm leaving the area. 'They're vicious down there mind you'. " - (Twitter January24, 2020)

RIP Judith (Judy) Moore

The funeral arrangements have been finalised for Judith Moore who passed away on May 9. Judith loved music and in her younger days was a regular at such north east venues as the New Orleans Club, the Club Agogo, the Downbeat, the Corner House and, in later years, Hoochie Coochie and the Jazz Café. Sadly, failing health meant Judith had been absent from the scene in recent months but she will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
May Judith Rest In Peace
Lance.
The funeral is on Thursday, May 26 - 10:30am at Saltwell Crematorium, Gateshead. Chronicle/Journal notice.

Sorry to hear this. I remember her visits to the Jazz cafe. I enjoyed meeting her.

never met her, but share in the accolades of a lady who was "one of us" and who loved Jazz.

Music played at Judith's funeral - The Beatles 'In My Life' and Maria Muldaur 'Midnight at the Oasis'.
