This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Blaydon Jazz Club's monthly sessions to switch from Sunday to Monday

After discussion with the management at The Black Bull, Blaydon Jazz Club's Roly Veitch and his team of helpers have  decided to resume their concerts next month. 

Instead of Sunday evenings the decision has been made to switch to Mondays when there are better transport links in the form of trains and buses back to Newcastle etc.  Music will be two 45 minute sets - 8:00pm to 8:45pm and 9:15pm to 10:00pm -  and usually £7 admission, pay (cash only) at the door.

The first two concerts will be:
Monday October 18: The Zoë Gilby Quartet
Monday November 15:  The Dean Stockdale Trio
