We’re absolutely delighted to announce that pre-sales are open for our fifth
release from New Jazz and Improvised Music Recordings.
It’s a great pleasure to present The King’s Hall Concert through the New Jazz and Improvised Music Recordings project. Billed originally as the Joe McPhee Trio this band have only performed twice, both of which were in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northern England. This is the first of those two performances where in 2018 the band members were brought together for the ambitious Newcastle Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music, performing to an electrified audience of over 500 people.
Since that concert and recording date the world has rapidly changed, and the re-presentation of the music performed offers a platform to enable further discourse and evaluation, and of course repeated listening pleasure.
Navigating storms and the fight for cultural freedom and liberation, Télémaque perform the improvisations on St. Elmo’s Fire.
This is an absolutely staggering live recording from a superb original Trio and we’re truly honoured to be able to feature this music on the label.

live performance opportunities were unavailable and encouraging artist
independence.
Emphasising sustainability for artists and music studios, the ethos of
sustainability also carries through the production process by employing a
carbon neutral manufacturing plant and distributors, using recycled and
biodegradable materials whenever possible.
From December 2020 through to April 2021 the label will distribute the first 6 project releases, with more scheduled throughout the year.
The New Jazz and Improvised Music Recordings project is brought to you from the
