Bebop Spoken There

We're on our (virtual) way home from Wembley, la la la la...

Have you long since given up watching television news bulletins? They're all doom and gloom, aren't they? Well, yes...and no. At five minutes to five this afternoon, ITV's regional news programme broadcast three good news stories. First, more good news on the vaccine roll-out, secondly, minutes after the final whistle, the all-important footage of Lynden Gooch scoring the 57th minute match-winning goal for Sunderland versus Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Trophy Final, and to top off a good day, there she was, Anna Reay, singing on the doorstep of an unsuspecting, not to say surprised, Teessider on Mother's Day!
