Ricky Riccardi, Louis Armstrong House Museum’s Research Collections Director, hosts a virtual birthday celebration for Pops alongside New Orleans clarinetist Evan Christopher! A four-hour online party boasts live shows from NYC and New Orleans, musical tributes from dozens of musicians, and archival gems that show how Armstrong’s passion for using recording technology for work, play and “posterities” can inspire us in the current climate of isolation.
