Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. The Jive Aces' Jivestream #83 - June 7

Those effervescent rockin' and rollin', jumpin' and jivin' hep cats the Jive Aces present a nightly hourly show at 8:30pm. This was their 83rd episode and my first visit.

As always, it is insanity with a boogie beat and no shortage of jazz in the mix.

John Fordham, who isn't a journalist, blew some booting tenor on an Al Sears number. Vincent Hurley boogie-woogied My Old Grandfather's Clock, Clarkson sang a lot of Dean Martin numbers - it would have been Dino's birthday today - Douglas blew trombone and played blues harp on Alright Okay You Win. and everybody had a ball.
