Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Georgia makes JRR!

Thanks to listeners' requests, today's Boxing Day edition of Jazz Record Requests has something of a seasonal feel to it. Basie, Ellington, Billie and Oscar are represented alongside a number of recently released albums (including Yellow by Emma-Jean Thackray who'll be at Sage Gateshead in March next year). A singer whose star is firmly in the ascendant, the wonderful Georgia Cécile, will be delighted to know a JRR listener has asked presenter Alyn Shipton to play a track from her stunning debut album Only the Lover Sings. Tune to BBC Radio 3 at five o'clock (one hour later than usual).
