This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Full steam ahead for Strictly Smokin'

We're pleased to let you know that the Strictly Smokin' Big Band shows on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th December at Gosforth Civic Theatre are going ahead as planned.

Your safety as an audience is important to use, and although GCT is exempt from many of the restrictions placed on larger venues, there is a requirement for all audience members of wear a mask at all times inside the theatre including when seated during the performance, but not when eating or drinking.

To help with crowding at the bar during the interval, drinks can be ordered before the show - please take advantage of this and order your interval drinks before entering the auditorium.

We can't wait to see you this weekend, and celebrating Christmas with you all.
