This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Rossano Sportiello: #59 Live at the Flat in Greenwich Village - Dec. 28

Like stride piano? Then this 'ere is the place! Listen to I've Got my Love to Keep me Warm. Rossano Sportiello at his best. This is a Lovely Way to Spend an Evening and My Heart Stood Still kept the magic flowing. It's Easy to Remember another gem - one of the most melodic songs in the entire GASbook. To finish we heard one of the greatest tunes in the jazz repertoire - Tadd Dameron's Lady Bird - back next Tuesday.

A beautiful livestream by an amazing NYC based Italian pianist - promise I'll catch it from the start next week!. Lance

I returned to the stream again and the first song I heard was Again followed by Somebody Loves me and They Say That Falling in Love is Wonderful - This guy sure knows how to pick 'em!
