Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Pizza Pull Plug

The monthly jazz gigs at Newcastle's Pizza Express have now ceased. This means that the Debra Milne Ensemble's gig there, scheduled for September 12, will not take place.
Better news for Debra and her ensemble is a gig at the Salsa Restaurant on Westgate Rd. just a few doors down from The Star Inn. This is on Saturday September 28 and is the first of what is hoped to be a series of monthly Saturday night gigs organised by the Pink Lane Co-op. In between, on Friday September 12, at the Lit and Phil even further down Westgate Rd, Debra and co can be heard in concert. At this rate our girl will be as much a part of the Westgate Rd. architecture as the Wetherspoon's pub.
