You can hear Bernie McGann on an album called "Always" on Spotify. According to his obit, Bernie McGann chose the life of a postman in order to play the music of his choice.

Thanks Jaygee, I've just listened to a couple of tracks - I'm Old Fashioned and Accustomed to her Face - and he's a very distinctive alto player warm, almost unique, sound good technique without flashiness.

Oh very sorry to read this news here Lance. Bernie was an outstanding musician, a real pleasure to hear him ... tho sadly I haven't for the many years since I moved to blighty. reminder to us all, go hear them live while they are living!!
