There Will Never be Another You sang Lindsay ably assisted by Messrs Harrison, Pope and Walker. A good start with our girl in fine voice.
The Bang Bang Chicken with peanut, chilli and lime from the new a la carte menu was also rather tasty. The new menu offers a far wider choice than the old one and currently has 20% shaved off the price. I can't Escape From You, Secret Love and Joni Mitchell's The Hissing of the Summer Winds kept things cooking on the stand whilst on my plate I tucked in to Crispy Confit of Duck, sauté potatoes, frisee salad and smoked duck lardons.
Don't Get Around Much Anymore, sang Lindsay. This was followed by Comes Love or, in my case, Eton Mess in a brandy snap basket. Both were delicious - They Can't Take That Away From me which Lindsay just happened to be singing. Old Fashioned Hat followed and the set closed with Herbie Hancock's What if I Don't?
Circumstances decreed I missed the second set which may have been even better.
I don't know if it was the lighting or has John Pope suddenly become a blonde? If so he's the best blonde bassist around. James and Rob need no introduction their qualities have been extolled many times whilst Lindsay is singing as well as ever.
