Another store bites the dust. After 250 years supplying the musical needs of York the internet claims another victim. You want to buy an instrument untried? Just go online and hope it arrives in one piece and it plays like they told you it would. Lance

A great store covering almost everything a musician might want. Huge stocks which also meant a huge investment for the owners and also a load of stuff which was difficult to sell except to people who would buy seven versions of a mouthpiece. Something that today's online retailers often ignored.
Over 30 years ago I trawled through a huge pile of outmoded danceband and big band stocks which were at knockdown prices . I bought as many preWW2 orchestrations as I could carry onto the train.
