This afternoon, after taking my constitutional walk to the bus stop and the subsequent 4 minute scenic ride, I ended up in an establishment that is licensed to be a purveyor of wines, beers and spirits - aka the Albion Gin and Ale House.
I ordered myself a flagon of ale and prepared to watch a World Cup football game between Morocco and Portugal.
However, prior to kick-off, I found myself in conversation with some lovely people from Devon who were up here doing ancestry research. Turned out I was born in the same street as the family they were researching although, as they had lived in no. 10 and my lot were in no. 162, I couldn't help.
But, further conversation revealed they were regular visitors to the Exmouth Jazz Club so we had more in common than expected. Look forward to hearing more about jazz in Exmouth from Gemma and Martin. Lance
