We knew about these guys from Russell's review when they played a Splinter gig at the Bridge back in November 2013 (Read here on the band's website). Well, they're back in The Toon on Saturday at The Globe Jazz Bar for a Jazz Coop gig. It's International Jazz Day so you've no excuse not to be there.
However, if you can't wait until Saturday, I've got good news. There's a CD with your name on it! All you have to do is just contact Whirlwind Recordings, enclosing the appropriate amount, and the disc is yours. Better still, on Saturday night, grab the 22 bus from the Central Station and ride for one stop to The Globe where you can buy the CD, dig a great band and sup some real ale - plus you'll save on the postage.
The disc is exactly what you would expect from musicians of this calibre - apart from the moments when you stop and say 'Wow' they didn't oughta do that!' but you're glad that they did!
I think the 22 bus will be full of guitarists!

where is the cd review?
The review of the CD is, actually, the last paragraph! I was kind of killing two birds with one stone - i.e. gig and disc. Click on the Whirlwind link for more info on the recording - it's a cracker!
