Wynton Marsalis spoke about Armstrong's battle against the racism he encountered during his lifetime. Terence Blanchard has written an original score and Ricky Riccardi is consultant producer on the project. Never-seen-before audio and visual material courtesy of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation should persuade every jazz fan to make it a priority to see Louis Armstrong's Black & Blues. A UK theatrical release date (if at all) has yet to be announced. Watch this space.
