And then there's Sharkey Bonano, Joanne 'Pug' Horton, Miff Mole, the Wolverines, Gene 'Ratzo' Calderazzo, Miff Mole and the greatest jazz drummer of them all...Animal (The Muppets)!
This may not count as it was a nickname but my mind went to Johnny Hodges 'rabbit'.
Thelonious Monkfish was the name of restaurant I saw once.
I've just thought of Lindsay Haddock (sorry Lindsay!)and I have a secret nickname for myself which is Fishface, Ann 'fishface' Alex.
Let's not forget drummer Beaver Harris who worked with Archie Shepp. I'd love to know how he got his name....
