This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) JG Windows (& others!) Last Shop Standing

Graham Jones, author of Last Shop Standing, an account of the rise and fall of the indie record shop, will be at one of the few surviving establishments on Monday October 5. At half past five he will be ‘in store’ at JG Windows, Central Arcade, Newcastle. Meet the man himself and ask him how he now views matters. Windows stocks his book and you’ll find it (and him) somewhere amongst the burgeoning racks of new (and reissue) vinyl releases. Classic reissue jazz albums are to die for and JG Windows stocks them! Call into the shop to book your place.
