Election Time - Vote Now!
BSH regulars will, I'm sure, give us their support in the Jazz Media Category (Best Blog etc.) But this is also an opportunity to draw attention to some north east talent worthy of greater recognition by the rest of the country.
The categories (related to 2014 albums/performances) are:
Jazz Album:
Jazz Vocalist:
Jazz Instrumentalist:
Jazz Venue/Festival/Club/Promoter:
Jazz Media:
Jazz Education:
There have been a lot of CDs released locally and several great festivals/jazz parties, not to mention singers and players both established and up and coming. No need for me to make suggestions - you know who they are. However, just because someone lives in the next street to you, that doesn't mean you have to vote for that person unless, of course, you feel he/she has ability comparable with the country's best.
To vote for your favourites and get more info follow this link. Voting closes at noon on December 12.
Lance.
