1 comment :
I knew Charlie,, I lived near him when I went to music college and he taught me sight reading there and other stuff,, every Tuesday morning I think .. he always had a lot of music to get through for me.
I went to his house quite a few times. He always had a few guitars, old ones ., I would love playing them..
He told me stories of Gigs past .
With pictures and posters ... ‘ Charlie Smith and his Guitar .. ‘
Was written on one of the posters I remember..
All of his guitar students loved him in their own way, we all knew ...
It was a real honour to be taught anything by him..
Great ... great guy ...
Pat Caldwell..
