Jazz on the Tyne – with special guest Emma Johnson

Jazz on the Tyne returns to Hive Radio this Saturday (Nov. 13).  Presenter Colin Muirhead chats with Leeds-based saxophonist and composer Emma Johnson, ahead of the performance by her band Gravy Boat at the Globe in Newcastle on Sunday Nov. 28.

Emma talks about the band’s debut album Worry Not and her initiative to develop a digital tour guide for Newcastle.


The show features tracks from Worry Not, plus music by Paul Taylor, Nishla Smith, Pat Martino, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Emma Fisk’s Hot Club du Nord.
