This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Reviewers wanted

Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Indigo Jazz Voices @ the Globe - Oct. 13. CANCELLED!

This gig is now cancelled due to illness.

Following on from their successful gig in September with the Little Big Band, the Indigos are gigging again this Thursday at the Globe, accompanied by the excellent trio of Alan, Paul and Abbie. You won't want to miss this if you were at the September gig, and if you weren't there in September, that's even more reason not to miss the event this week.

Songs to be heard include Black Magic Woman and That Old Devil Called Love. Just the sort of songs to get you in the mood for Halloween.

A little bird has told me that the Little Big Band show could well take place again next year, but don't wait until then, get yourself along on Thursday. Only £5 cash on the door for a 7.45pm start. Ann Alex
