Amazing, intriguing, compelling and much more. In fact, too much for me to comprehend. Maybe if I'd been born yesterday I'd have been better equipped to understand what it was all about.
In fairness, Noonan is no mean player and has a prodigious technique whilst the Ligeti Quartet, themselves no mugs, had a lot of pleasing moments but it was all beyond my ken and I jumped ship mid (live) stream.
Nevertheless, full marks to the Globe, the Jazz Coop and JNE for their refusal to stick with the tried and tested but to explore uncharted waters although JNE did, of course, present Noonan back in the day when that organisation nested at the Bridge Hotel.
Perhaps one of our more forward thinking readers may give a more perspective observation of the happenings? Lance
