Jos Q, as he was usually known, held residencies at most of the region's venues such as the Station Hotel (formerly the LNER Hotel), the Old Assembly Rooms (a.k.a the Old Ass), Fenwick's Tea Rooms and many others as well as being first call to provide the music at that favourite habitat of Hooray Henrys and Henriettas - the Hunt Ball.
It's a big ask but hopefully someone out there can put names to the musicians in the photo.

Is the tenor Les? Feeny who had a band at the Heaton?
I think tenor is Percy Rochester,,,he always worked with JQA band…
