Whether she is fronting a big band, a symphony orchestra or a trio you can look forward to an evening where satisfaction is guaranteed whilst still retaining that essential jazz element - the sound of surprise.
Her distinctive vocal style makes her not just a great British jazz singer but one of world class as the audience at the Gala Theatre, Durham, will find out (as if they didn't already know!) on Friday, February 14 (7:30pm).
Yes, this Friday - St. Valentine's Day - Clare will bring her trio to the Gala for what, these days, is practically an annual visit.
That Ms. Teal is in good voice was born out by our York correspondent Liz who waxed eloquently about Clare's gig in that historic city last July. So, from one historic city to another, this looks to be an unforgettable St. Valentine's Day.
Let's not forget that her trio is in itself something special with Jason Rebello on piano, Simon Little on bass and Ben Reynolds on drums.
The programme promises to "Celebrate 100 years of pop music featuring some of the greatest songs ever written from the great American and British songbooks and contemporary writers creating the standards of today."
