This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Reviewers wanted

Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. R.J. Feathers' Blues Band @ The Globe Jazz Bar - March 7

What a good night at the Globe!  The place was almost full before the music started, and it was packed by the time the first set was under way.  Lots of the crowd were friends of friends - no harm in that!  Nice to see the Jazz Bar busy with a Main plus Support act.
   Playing both quiet and heavy Blues covers reinvented by Adam's band. Every gig they play they aim to get a different guest musician. Keith was guesting on this gig - the harmonica adding a real touch of authenticity!   The Band are always on the lookout for different musicians - Adam made an open offer for musicians in the audience to join - their next gig is in Edinburgh :)
The support was Bethany Coyle and Steve (?) on James' slide guitar for a few numbers.  A nice mix of originals + covers, with good clean sound.  A short set well appreciated by the audience.
