Gestating in the Womb.
a blind future which would destroy us.
a precocious potentiality
to elevate us toward the golden city walls of Ancient Egyptian demigods.
but it is the vibrations coming from outside.
celestial sound waves impinging on that foetal conciousness
that will make or break us.
and before we know if we want to be made or broken
time will pass us by like a shooting star,
leaving us alone again on this spherical blue rock
orbiting our own inflated self-image.

The music is better.
Marshall, a brilliant pianist who played a Splinter session last October, delivers the goods on a fine selection of original compositions that display his talents as a pianist, a composer and an improviser - if not a poet!
An excellent trio recording even if I haven't a clue what the poem is all about - I'll have to think back to when I was gestating in the womb!
It was quite a while back.
