Keith's refusal to allow anyone in wearing a football shirt drew this story from Brian Lineham.
A couple of lads wearing Newcastle shirts attempted to enter The Jazz Café and Keith stopped them.
"Why can't we come in, we just want to hear the music?"
"You won't like it," said Keith, "It's jazz."
The lad said, "I like jazz" and quoted Miles and Dizzy and Mingus etc.
Keith thought for a moment then said - "It's Gay Jazz!"

Keith asked me what I did. I told him I was training to be a dentist. He asked me if I liked my work and I said I did.
He replied I thought you might.
