Bebop Spoken There

Charlie Musselwhite: "I used to see these posters in the windows of the [Chicago] blues clubs advertising Elmore James and Muddy Waters which knocked me out. I was making a note of the addresses and at night I'd go back and listen to the blues until 4-5 in the morning." - (Blues Matters! Aug/Sep 2021)

The Things They Say!

Hudson Music: Lance's "Bebop Spoken Here" is one of the heaviest and most influential jazz blogs in the UK.

Rupert Burley (Dynamic Agency): "BSH just goes from strength to strength".

Crombie's New Café

Further to Russell's previous post here are the details for next Tuesday's memorial to Keith Crombie at the Art's Dept.  Café at Newcastle Uni.. It is also the official opening and re-naming of what was 'The Art Café' to 'Keith's Café'.
Could he have wished for a greater epitaph?
And has ever a non-playing jazzman been given so many accolades?
I hope you rest in peace Keith but it may be a while.
Nobody accepts that you've gone "Up There" or, more likely, "Down below". Lance.
