Bebop Spoken There

Georgia Cécile: "For me, whether it's an instrumentalist or a singer, they have to be telling a story." - (JazzWisee July 2020).

Dave Rempis:Ten years from now, I can see musicians streaming concerts in real time and charging a minimal amount for people to watch.” - (DownBeat September 2013)

The Things They Say!

Hudson Music: Lance's "Bebop Spoken Here" is one of the heaviest and most influential jazz blogs in the UK.

Rupert Burley (Dynamic Agency): "BSH just goes from strength to strength".

11,635 (and counting) posts since we started blogging just over 12 years ago. 770 of them this year alone and, so far, 34 this month (July 9).

As we all know there are no live gigs taking place in the immediate future. However, any links to jazz streaming that are deemed suitable - i.e. with a professional approach - will be considered for posting.

Preview: Life is For Living - The Peggy Lee Project. Gwyneth Herbert and the Buck Clayton Legacy Band.

The combination of Gwyneth Herbert and the Peggy Lee Songbook is a delicious thought in itself but add the Buck Clayton Legacy Band with such heroes as Alan Barnes, Matthias Seuffert (reeds); Menno Daams, Ian Smith (tpts); Adrian Fry (tmb); Martins Litton and Wheatley (pno and guitar); Alyn Shipton (bs); Bobby Worth (dms) and it becomes truly a Street of Dreams.
Life is For Living - The Peggy Lee Project. Saturday March 24. 8:00pm. Hall 2
