yes I wish they would not use that word "pensioners" as many people are in receipt of pensions, young & old. Better yet to say seniors or senior citizens when referring to older people. I have made this point to my local newspaper to no avail.In fact why differentiate at all?

I totally agree, Liz, however, let's not detract from the main issue which is a fine performance by a local lass on national TV.
Bren is a fantastic singer, I wish I had been told about this earlier, lets all make sure we vote for her not just because she is a local lass but because she has a fantastic voice.
I don't think it's a vote thing but one decided by the three judges.
Hi Lance, just wanted to thank you again for your mention of me in the Singing Pensioner contest. I had a fantastic time on the show and the next day recording at Pinewood Studios to record "White Christmas" with the Chelps. Everyone involved in organising the show and the recording were really helpful and supportive. Tim (my husband) came with me this time (he was to nervous the first time, ha,ha)
I have a cop of the song and it sounds great. It's being released live on the AT show Monday 13th December. Wouldn't it be amazing if it went to no.1 for Christmas!
I hope at least it will get me opportunities for more interesting work. Thanks again and to everyone who supported me. Brenda x
