This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Reviewers wanted

Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Preview: Indigo Jazz Voices @ The Globe - Thursday Dec. 4

Why Don’t You do Right?, bring your Body and Soul and Get Out of Town (just near the arena actually) as you Come on Over to my Place, where you may find some Dancing in the Dark. These are just some of the songs that will be on the menu at our next gig, and you are most welcome and positively encouraged to join us upstairs at the Globe on Thursday. It might make a refreshing change from trudging round the shops and sitting in cafes hearing Stop the Cavalry by Jona Lewie, and Mariah Carey not wanting a lot for Christmas on a loop for the 600th time!

Performing with us are the fabulous trio of musicians comprising  Alan Law (piano), Rob Walker (drums) and Paul Grainger (double bass). The lovely singers this month are Paul Close (also on guitar), Jen Errington, Jenny Lingham, Carrie McCullock and David Edgar. 

Performance starts at 7.45pm

£5 cash on the door.
