Station to Station - Dec 7

Monument, Newcastle, Saturday morning, Soznak. Jude on bass, Showtime elsewhere. Song for My Father. Meanwhile, down the road at Central Station the usual all-but-inaudible tannoy announcements were drowned out by a rousing 1938 Carnegie Hall-style Sing, Sing, Sing during a fundraising concert by the mammoth Prudhoe Community Band. Dave Hignett, suited and booted, waved his baton around as generous commuters filled collection buckets - a perfect example of community music in action!
