Postage

11,629 (and counting) posts since we started blogging just over 12 years ago. 764 of them this year alone and, so far, 28 this month (July 8).

Today

As we all know there are no live gigs taking place in the immediate future. However, any links to jazz streaming that are deemed suitable - i.e. with a professional approach - will be considered for posting.

Jazz Record Requests @ Sage Gateshead - Nov. 7

The Gang's All Here - well most of us! As previously noted, yesterday, Alyn Shipton's Jazz Record Requests went out live on Radio 3 as part of Sage Gateshead's Free Thinking Festival. Among the requestees were:
BSH reviewer: Hugh C - Barbara Thompson, Little Annie-Ooh.
BSH reviewer and Man About Town: Russell - Paul Edis, Greensleeves.
Pianist, composer, educator: Paul Edis - Art Tatum, Tea For Two.
Jazz Coop Director and BSH reviewer: Debra M - Samuel Eagles, Next Beginning.
BSH founder: Lance - Sonny Rollins/Thelonious Monk - The Way You Look Tonight.
A selection as varied as the team that were present.
In the photo, taken by Russell, Debra's to the left of the picture, I'm at the right with Alyn Shipton in the centre.
Available here on BBC iplayer for the next 29 days.
Lance.
