Ken Gibson Dead?

In his weekly mailshot, Sebastian Scotney of LondonJazzNews has reported the death of trombonist/composer/arranger Ken Gibson,
No details have as yet emerged.
Apart from from his long association with Sir John Dankworth, Gibson will also be remembered locally for his work in the 1970s with the Newcastle Big Band.
As of yet no details or confirmation has appeared in the music press. Any further information would be appreciated.
A sad day.
Lance
