Today that was me! A new Animal Rescue shop had opened on our local high street so, out of curiosity, I popped in.
I wasn't a man on a mission, just curious.
The lighting was low, maybe non-existent so the books were out of question but, a cardboard box on the floor was crammed with vinyl, crammed to the extent they must have been shoehorned in.
I managed to lever an album out and Zowie: The Trumpet Kings featuring Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie and Clark Terry accompanied by Oscar Peterson, Niels-Henning Pedersen and Louis Bellson. An immaculate pressing on the Pablo label and recorded in 1975 at the Montreux Jazz Festival. For one pound I get an excellent album and an animal gets closer to being rescued. Lance
