Today, April 30, is International Jazz Day, a day when our music in its many forms is celebrated to a greater or lesser degree in 190 countries across the Globe and, indeed it is at the Globe on Railway St where Newcastle marks the occasion.
Combining IJD with the Jazz Co-op's 11th birthday celebrations, activities begin at around 4:00pm (see HERE) culminating with a concert by Vienna born, London based, saxist Guido Spannocchi with bassist John Pope & drummer Steve Hanley starting at 7:30pm. Alternatively, you could fly to Abu Dhabi - DETAILS. Lance
