Ah, I didn't know that was up there (in the loft)! A collector's item! It was around that time (mid-80s) when Billy Harper and co (or was it Dick Straughan?) had a Sunday lunchtime residency at the City Vaults.
The Ronnie Young Jazzmen were the resident band: Ronnie Young (trumpet, vocals); Charlie Carmichael (tenor sax, flute, clarinet); Bob King (trombone); Bill Harper (piano); Ian Heslop (bass); Jimmy Stewart (drums), Fergus ? (banjo). For the competition, piano, bass and drums backed the competitors.
The Fergus in question was probably Fergus Hope.
