This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Press release: JazzLeeds Spring Jazz Programme 2025

We can’t wait to show you our new year jazz programme. We’ve some major international evenings with concerts based at Seven Arts and the Howard Assembly Room, our popular Sunday jazz afternoons held in the Seven Arts and our informal rush hour jazz events in Seven Arts bar on Wednesdays. 

There’ll also be lots of opportunities for you to join in. We have a jazz workshop and the Instant World Orchestra running at Northlight Arts, a monthly jazz jam session at Seven Arts bar and a new jazz choir series led by Tessa Smith that will meet on Tuesday evenings at Chapel Allerton Methodist Church. 

Our new leaflet has been designd for us by Split - if you would like a copy, email us on info@jazzleeds.org.uk including your address and we will post one on. Or you can pick one up at one of our concerts - come along and join in the fun!
