Remembering Kathy Stobart who died nine years ago today.

Bernard McCalinden kindly sent me a photo copy of an article he wrote for Perfectly Frank. the quarterly journal of the Sinatra Music Society, profiling the late Kathy Stobart.

As most readers of BSH will know Kathy was born in South Shields and went on to become a highly acclaimed tenor/soprano sax player with a variety of bands including Vic Lewis and Humphrey Lyttelton as well as various small groups.

The article, which runs to, at a rough guess, 7,000 words spread over 5 x A4 sheets plus the above graphic, was published in issue 352 (July, August, September, 2012) of Perfectly Frank. It's a well-written piece that documents her life up to her retirement and is well worth trying to chase down either on ebay or via the Sinatra Music Society.*
