This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Tubby Hayes meets Sal Nistico

Steve Owen drew this vintage piece by Les Tompkins to my attention. Tompkins, brings the late and legendary tenormen Sal Nistico and Tubby Hayes together to talk about jazz and saxophones and music in general. It is fascinating stuff and reminds us of the great loss the jazz world suffered when these two died so young.
The article first appeared as part of Crescendo Magazine's Anglo-American Exchange series.back in the 1960's.

"Unable to find this document at its original source" - why not just include the document in the page as a .pdf or even .html rather than have a complicated link to Google that doesn't work?
