The Narrators are a fresh blues band comprising of professional and semi professional musicians from Newcastle Upon Tyne. They have upcoming gigs at The Great British Blues Festival and other top venues, as well as some great past gigs around the north at venues such as The Muni Theatre, The Central Bar, Hoochie Coochie and The Sage Gateshead. They are currently booking a short uk tour in the autumn to celebrate the release of a new original cd.
I've heard one track - The Statement and it augurs well for the rest of the CD.
Opening with some heavy guitar, Belinda takes over with a low key vocal before giving way to a superb blast on the Hammond by Dominic. Tim keeps the blues fevered temperature high before Belinda makes the final "statement".
It's not the greatest blues record I've ever heard but it certainly isn't the worst and it gives a good indication of the band's capabilities. Hearing that Hammond sound live would surely be quite awesome.
