The astute will have noticed a Very Special Guests event listed in our programme for this year’s Newcastle Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music. We’re delighted to announce the embargo has been lifted and that our very special Hangover event on October 10 @ Gostorth Civic Theatre (7:30pm) is an incredible Northern triple bill featuring John Pope Quintet + Dilettante + Yotuns!
The concert comes as part of this year’s Mercury Prize Fringe Newcastle.
"Get ready to be immersed in the Mercury Prize Fringe Newcastle - a week-long festival igniting the North East with the very best of Northern creativity, leading up to the Mercury Prize Awards on Thursday 16 October at the Utilita Arena, Newcastle.
Powered by Generator, the North’s leading
music development organisation, the Fringe brings a thrilling line-up of live
gigs, artist collaborations, workshops, masterclasses, in-conversations, and
bold community-driven events across the city and beyond.
It’s a celebration of the North’s diverse
sonic landscape – spotlighting emerging talent and established voices alike -
building momentum as the city pulses towards the big night"
