Although based on Teesside where he sang with just about anybody who was anybody in that neck of the woods, he frequently crossed county lines to sing at Blaydon Jazz Club, Hoochie Coochie (now Pilgrim), the Sage (now the Glasshouse), the Cherry Tree and many others.
As of yet I don't have any more details but I will post any further details as they come in.
To quote one well-known Teesside alto player: 'Bob Caswell was among the best singers around these parts'.
I'll say 'Amen' to that.
