This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Preview: Indigo Jazz Voices Special Event With Guest Musicians -September 8 @ the Globe

Remember the last Indigo Jazz Voices gig which was postponed because of illness? Well, all concerned are now fighting fit and raring to go.  September 8 is the new date when you can enjoy the singers with the trio of Alan Law, Paul Grainger and Rob Walker.

What you get on this extra special night are two extra musicians in the shape of the ace ’bone man David Gray and talented trumpeter Pete Tanton. An evening not to be missed and all for £5 cash on the door, beginning at 7.45pm

Songs will include a fair selection of ballads, blues, bossas and swing.
