This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Globe update

(Press release) 

A quick note about the easing of restrictions next week ---

As you may be aware, the government has confirmed the lifting of restrictions from next monday. This is great news for music venues across the country. However, some amount of responsibility is now upon ourselves to maintain a safe environment for our customers and staff. So, for the next few months at least, we will be running the following system.
- Seated concerts will be "cabaret" style tables and limited to 41 tickets. These concerts will run a table service bar.
- Standing concerts will be limited 2/3 capacity.
- We advise, if possible, that customers wear masks whilst visiting the bar, and toilets.
- We will maintain a clean venue, and supply hand sanitiser and masks if needed.
- Our staff and volunteers will wear masks.
Most importantly, we ask that everyone respects everyone else, and together we can have a great time!!!
