Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Album review: The Schwings Band - Plazi

Remigijus Rančys (saxophones, vocals), Richardas Banys (piano, back-vocal), Vadim Stankevičius (guitar, back-vocal), Denis Murašov (double bass, back-vocal), Gediminas Stankevičius (drums, back-vocal), Jievaras Jasinskis (trombone, back-vocal). Album’s sound producer – Justinas Ladyga.

I thought the Classic Jazz Party had been cancelled till next year but it hasn't. What am I saying? Of course it has. Must be a sign of old age but when I started listening to this I was convinced I was at the Village Hotel then it clicked I wasn't on an estate near Whitley Bay but in Lithuania!

If you like the CJP fayre then you'll love The Schwings Band.
