This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. From Our Man in Hong Kong.

Hi All,
Now TV have been in touch, and have told me that they have the Ned Kelly's 40th Anniversary documentary that was shot last December, now on Youtube, they have told me that an English version will follow soon, so for those of you who missed it, and who are not on Facebook,  here it is in 3 parts, with some extra stuff which was not used  when it first went out.

For those of you you who were expecting to catch up with me in the UK, I've had to call my UK trip off this year, trying to organize it has been a nightmare with so many things that just keep going wrong, so maybe that's a message, maybe this year it is not meant to be, so i will start to plan for 2014, so for this year I'll be staying put, in Hong Kong, still plenty to keep me out of trouble here..
Hope to see some of you in 2014, or maybe some of you in Honkers.
